Andersen and Ronstan Working together with Ocean Youth Trust

‘Prolific’ is a vessel with genuine character; being built in 2005, a tribute to the herring-fishing vessels in operation along the Norwegian coast during the 19th century. And when a charity organisation such as OYT South brought this project to the UK, IMP, Ronstan and Andersen where there to assist with the major refit of hardware and supply of Andersen winches.

Ocean Youth Trust South is a charity which uses Adventure Under Sail as a personal development opportunity for young people, helping them to develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Voyages are designed to build confidence, team-working, communication, the ability to cope with unfamiliar situations and more - all skills needed by families, schools, employers and the wider community. Crew members are aged 12-25 and come from the widest possible variety of backgrounds. Some are keen young sailors, or young people looking for an adventurous holiday. But many of them are vulnerable or disadvantaged in some way.
The vessel should help thousands of young people over the coming years to develop the skills to succeed in life. “
Check out their website for more information, share it, print it, copy it and pass it on. A great mission to be a part of! Thanks for sharing the wonderful images of happy young faces.
